What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Measurement Specialist based in Sao Paulo. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, documentation, and maintenance of measurement equipment essential for assessing solar and wind resources. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate data collection in compliance with industry best practices.
What challenges will you face?
- Installation and Calibration: Install and calibrate equipment like anemometers and pyranometers at project sites. Ensure optimal sensor placement and prepare technical specifications, collaborating with development teams to meet project requirements.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance to minimize downtime. Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for all projects and address issues promptly.
- Data Management: Oversee and validate data from sensors, working with analysts to maintain data quality. Manage service providers and provide periodic reports on data results.
- Collaboration: Work with various teams to integrate feedback and improve processes. Apply insights from past projects for better future outcomes.
- Compliance and Safety: Follow industry standards and safety protocols during installation and maintenance. Align design criteria across countries with local regulations.
- Support Activities: Assist with logistics for fieldwork and geotechnical studies, procurement tasks, and travel planning for site visits.
What specific knowledge do you need?
- At least 5 years in a similar role. Experience in projects and met mast installations and maintenance for photovoltaic and wind preferred.
- Good knowledge of solar and wind resource cleaning, calibration, and measurement equipment.
- Multidisciplinary technical degree with electrical, mechanical, and civil skills.
- Fluent in Portuguese or Spanish. English would be a plus.
- Advanced Excel (working office).
- Windographer or other data management software preferred.
